I had a chance to try out my cousin’s AT-X PRO SD 12-24mm F4 Ultra Wide Angle lens (that’s a mouthful). Coincidentally, we were at Fullhouse Lifestyle Store and Cafe at that time so it was a good time for me to test the lens. Using a UWA lens is like seeing the world from a bigger perspective. Everything look wider which gives more flexibility in composing a shot in a tight area. Here is a sample picture that I took today.
Ever since Fullhouse opened its door at Ara Damansara a couple of years ago, the cafe has garnered quite a number of followers due to its unique lifestyle dining concept. So it was no surprise that theme-based restaurants such as Gardens Lifestyle & Cafe started mushrooming around town. It appears that apart from food, ambiance and atmosphere do add up the overall dining experience for city dwellers.
Fullhouse has recently found its way to Sunway Giza. Featuring a three-storey high restaurant, Fullhouse was unmistakably the most attractive looking place to eat there. The Mini which was so prominently displayed at the Ara Damansara branch can also be seen at Giza albeit in a different colour. What makes the decor even more attractive is the life-sized replica of Tiffany standing next to it. Tiffany is one of the cartoon character featured in the Fullhouse menu.
Fullhouse definitely scores high in terms of its ambiance. But how did their food fare? I took the Vongole Spaghetti (RM 16.90) which came in a reasonable portion.
The spaghetti was cooked with olive oil and clam meat. What made it spicy (and I mean really spicy) were the chili flakes. As for the taste, I would say it was quite nice. I am not a picky eater and as long as it goes well with my taste bud, I am generally okay with any food.
Only thing it was a bit too spicy for my taste but those who are looking for an extra kick wouldn’t mind at all.
Profiterole (RM 9.90) or otherwise homemade custards were delicious.
The texture was soft and fluffy while the vanilla chocolate sauce was not too sweet.
If you are planing to eat at Fullhouse, make sure you bring your camera long. There are tons of nice pictures to take around this place. Too bad I did not stay for long. Otherwise, I would have spent my whole afternoon snapping pictures there. 🙂

Here I am sitting inside Austin Chase Coffee at Sunway Giza on a Sunday morning. Nothing beats lazing on the chair while sipping a cup of English tea. I must say… it is a nice environment here indeed.
Right after my lunch session at Sunway Giza last weekend, I spotted a handful of people crowding around a street artist. Apparently, there was this cute little girl who was sitting patiently waiting for her portrait to be drawn. Her dad had to keep her entertained as she was eager to see how her pencil drawn portrait looks like.
Located at the ground floor of Sunway Giza Mall, Moe De Cafe is a quaint looking place from the outlook. The very first thing that caught my eye was the life-sized Warhammer statue next to the entrance of the restaurant. The imposing statue was certainly an eye-catcher and would piques the interest of those who walks past this cafe.
Besides having a statue besides its front entrance, the cafe have a long stretch of bookshelves which house Japanese manga for free reading. And to top it up, the waitresses’ uniform is similar to those french maid costume!
I ordered the Seafood with Spicy Sauce Bucket Rice (RM 13.90). The meal came with a choice of drink which I chose the Longan Sea Coconut.
The rice was certainly delicious. It was served inside the wooden bucket with squid, clams, prawns and crab sticks among other things.
What makes this meal so nice was the sauce which has a slight tinged of spiciness with seafood taste.
We also took the Fried Spaghetti with Seafood in Special Sauce (RM 10.90). It was fried with some chili and black pepper.
To me, it was certainly appetizing although I wished the portion was bigger.
To top it up, they also included free ice-cream as part of the whole set meal.Instead of the usual plain ice-cream that most restaurants serve, this one has peanut toppings with chocolate syrup. Yummy!
The place is certainly packed with people during dinner time which is a sure sign of its popularity.

Two weeks ago, we invited Ice to do a photoshoot again. As usual, she was very accommodating throughout the entire shooting and understand what we wanted from her. On this note, I must add that she is one of the easiest model to work with which makes the entire shoot so fun and memorable!
Two days ago, I suggested to my colleagues to try out a new restaurant called Tao Cuisine & Lounge situated at the top floor of Sunway Giza at Kota Damansara. Tao’s concept of buffet spread is slightly different from the usual restaurants. Instead of having all the food pre-prepared on the serving line, customers would need to order the food which will be cooked by their chefs.
Having been to so many buffet restaurants before this, I did not expect much from this place. However, when our food arrived (the waitress recommended the top ten dishes that customers usually order), my impression quickly changed. Not only were the food tasted great, it was one of the best buffet restaurant I have been so far. At RM 58++ per pax, it is certainly not cheap but the quality of the food makes it all worthwhile.
On the side note, the ambiance is dark and I mean really dark. This became a big problem for me as I had to rely on whatever lighting the place has to offer to snap food pictures. Highly recommended if you are looking for good buffet restaurant.
