A while ago, I had a bowl of pork noodle at New Seaview and was unimpressed with the food there. With my insatiable hunger for pork noodles, I decided to dig around some food blogs for better alternatives. One of the names which came up in those blogs was Restoran Ah Or located at Dataran Mentari.
The auntie who operate this stall was very friendly. In fact, she doesn’t even mind that I took her picture up close. According to her, her family is running a string of popular pork noodle shops around Klang Valley. Hence, it was no surprise that the popularity of their pork noodle was evident from the number of people eating at her shop during lunch hours.
The pork noodle was seen cooking inside a big hot pot.
A good yardstick to determine how good a bowl of pork noodle is the soup. Here, the soup was really tasty and full of porky taste. It was sweet and flavoursome. Even my colleagues agreed with me hands down.
I always like my pork noodle (RM 5.70) to be cooked with Hor Fun as the noodle is smooth and soft.
Customers have a choice to to add an egg into their pork noodle which costs RM 1 extra.
Intestine and pork meat are vital ingredients that give the ‘ummph’ in a bowl of pork noodle.
The inclusion of a huge chunk of pork was a bonus. It was certainly the biggest chunk of meat I had for a bowl of pork noodle.
Overall, I would highly recommend this place. Not only was the food delicious, the restaurant was also clean (albeit a bit hot due to the scorching afternoon weather). If you love pork noodle, you will enjoy the food here. Although it is more expensive than the pork noodle at Restoran Ten-Tien Fatt, the taste was certainly on par with it.
