Uncle Seng Restaurant @ Subang Jaya

Having heard so much about the famous handmade noodle at Uncle Seng Restaurant, I managed to try it out a few months ago. What makes Uncle Seng’s noodle special is that apart from being hand made, the noodles are cooked without any ‘black sauce’. Hence, if you order a plate of Char Siew Wanton noodle, you will definitely see the texture of the noodle in its original colour.

The place was crowded during Sunday morning and it is easy to see why as Uncle Seng is very well know among food lovers. While the noodle comes with a choice of curry chicken, chicken feet mushroom, shredded chicken, deep fried pork and etc, I chose the Char Siew Wanton which costs RM 5.50 for a large portion.

The char siew wasn’t the best I have tried so far but I like the way it was prepared at Uncle Seng – plain and simple. The wanton also tasted as how I expected it to be.

The highlight was the noodle of course. It has a thicker texture and you can tell that it was freshly made. Overall, the dish as a light and natural taste to it. The absence of black sauce does not detriment the taste at all!

Personally, I like the noodle at Uncle Seng. As I have mentioned before, the number of people eating there is an indication of how popular the place is.
