Balifeel is a newly open restaurant at The Sphere in Bangsar South. Located at the vicinity of Kampung Kerinchi, The Sphere is a new commercial cum shopping mall that has recently opened with a few nice restaurants.
Offering authentic Balinese dishes with names such as Kenangan Balifeel, Jimbaran Seafood Platter and Be Pasih Mepanggan it is hard to resist the temptation of trying just about everything they have in the menu.
The restaurant is also nice decorated with Balinese theme. There is an outdoor section for those who rather enjoy their meal in the open air.
My girlfriend took the Nasi Goreng Kitamani (RM 8.90) which comes with a piece of fried chicken. Kitamani is a place in Bali famous for its volcanoes. After tasting this meal, I reckon the place must be also well known for its fried rice!
The dish was also prepared with some shredded fried eggs and crackers.
I ordered the Kenangan Balifeel (RM 12.00) which means Memories of Bali. This dish comes recommended in their menu. It a combination of grilled chicken wing, sate lili (skewered meat) and cumi cumi (squid).
The food presentation was very nice as it was served on a rattan plate. Here is a close up picture of the squid which was cooked with sambal.
My verdict? It is delicious! This is one of the best Balinese food I have tried so far.
Beside the food, I have to also mention that their dessert, Es Teller (RM 5.00) is worth ordering. It may look simple judging by the various mixed fruits they have in there but it has a nice milky and sweet taste to it.
